About the Durango High School Alumni Association
The Distinguished Alumni award will be given in memory of the late DHS alum, USMC Captain Jeff Kuss, whose personal character also inspired the required qualifications for the Distinguished Student Award. Future awards will continue to recognize these attributes: Perseverance, passion, self-discipline, respect for others, integrity, and above all, the kind of charisma that inspires others to achieve their best.
Future plans for the association call for developing an alumni mentorship program, to connect students and recent grads to alumni in their areas of interest. The association is also planning for an alumni speakers program, to bring information about life preparation and experiences to students about to leave high school for the wider world. More activities will develop as the association grows, and you can help grow it!
So do these things NOW:
Register as an alum and begin to find friends and get updates on the plans. It’s FREE.
Post (and get) ongoing alumni news on the new Facebook page.
Get involved with the DHSAA. Contact the association via email or call (970) 385-1491.

Come back to Durango for Reunions
Send us your reunion information to announce here. We’ll also post to Facebook and send out a news release to local papers.
We have a great Demons banner for your alumni gathering and (most likely) we can get an electronic version of your year’s Toltec. Let us know how we can help.
