There are a number of wonderful organizations and individuals that provide families in need with school supplies, such as backpack drives, at the beginning of the school year. But where do families go in the middle of the year once those supplies start running low? 9-R classrooms and staff are given a very small budget to purchase basic school supplies, but those funds go quickly. In partnership with Dr. Kim Priebe, DEF will be introducing a new grant stream that removes this obstacle, so educators and school staff don’t have to spend money out of their own pocket to help these students out. From your home or business, right to students in need – this is truly a community effort and we need your help to make this grant available for years to come.
